According to Marx the North was destined to win the civil War because of mass industry for reproducing weapons for Union army of the North.Yet Marx feels that the union should stay together not to be destroyed by the south.On the otherhand Marx felt slaveydid not play a role at all,in the south.
According to Karl Marx the southern states survival was farming, tobacco, and also cotton,Yet Marx contends that if a Black person joined the union army it would be revolutionary.Therefore the southern landowners were the victims of the northern industrialism the new wave of reproduction,so in a sense they were rebelling in 1861.
Further contends Marx that if the North would win it would change the South’s way of life toward’s the coming of industrialization. This may be a threat to the south’s way of life and in the end Karl Marx was right that a change in life style for the south.
Finally Karl Marx realizes that the union must go on interesting did Marx felt the civil war was a revolution in the making you would have to read the book.Karl Marx based his information by reading the London Times about the American civil war.so this is what KarlMarx opinion is based on but many critics felt his insight was right on target for that time period.
Marx felt the slave issues is not involed in this concept he felt it was capitalism and industrialism was the growing monster.Marx also contend’s it was an war of classes waring with each other.Therefore you have the slave owner surviving to keep his plantation going and his way of life going.
