How do I install LEDs into a car connecting them to a cigarette lighter plug so I can unplug it?
Just bought a new car and I don't want to touch anything, no cutting wires or anything. I want to hook up 4 LED lights to a cigarette lighter plug so I can unplug it when I do not want to use the lights. The LED's will go under the front seats and the dash. Can someone tell me how I can go about wiring this? I know resistors are needed at some point. Thank you for the help!!
If they are 12 volt LED lights, it will be very simple. You run wiring to the hot (+) side of each light, either in line or hooking individual lines together. You do the same for the ground wires. You hook those wires into a fused cigarette lighter plug and you are done.. You may want to add an in line switch to the hot side so that you can turn the lights off rather than unplugging them
