Hookah Screens vs. Aluminum foil, which is better?
I have experienced smoking tabac from a hookah (shisha), and i just wanted to know if using a screen, or aluminum foil affects the draw much. Which is better for the cooler, longer draw??
When using foil, use hookah foil and not aluminum foil. Prolonged use of household foil can cause adverse effects because the foil contains harmful chemicals. When using hookah foil cut 3-4 long slits in it with a knife after wrapping it around the top of the bowl. You can also use a fork to poke holes quickly to replicate the same use of a screen and will get similar air flow. You see hookah bars are going away from foil and moving to Mod Bowls because of the dangers.
Screens do give better air flow than foil and in the end are cheaper. Screens last me about a year or so. I just throw them in the dish washer for cleaning.
