Pocket Torch
I want a camping lamp - but not batteries?
I will be going on a few camping trips with my son. We will be packing as light as pos as we haven't got a car and my son is only 10.
We got pocket stoves and are looking forward to using them, but now i need to buy some lamps/torches as ours have died!
I don't like batteries as they run out so fast and are expensive and I'm rubbish at recharging.
I've tried wind ups but they all seem to stop being very effective after one trips use!
I wondered about some thing to hold tea lights
or a safe parafin lamp if there is such a thing.
I also thought garden candle sticks might be ok for outside the tent too.
Has anyone got any good hints or tips for a light weight battery free light/lamp. Reccomended product names would be appreciated.

you can buy lamps which have a crank on them to charge them up or a string of solar powered lights for the tent. try a store that has backpackers gear. it is smaller and lighter,so is easy to carry and pack. Try this site.
